This jig was designed with a strong opinion that a jig will skip better if the center of mass is as low and as far back as possible, and this design just so happened to solve the second most important thing about making a jig that skips well. The added weight under the head actually acts as a cover for your plastic which makes the bottom of this jig as flat as possible.

Like all Omerta Tackle Co. jigs this jig is custom finished in a powder coat, and heat treated for an extremely durable finish.
