This goes back to how Mr. B tied jigs back in the early 90's. He had huge success with this style of Football jig and have had many requests to bring it back. It mostly helps to keep the trailer from getting hooked on the hook point but will lightly deflect cover also. It makes Hooksets a breeze and almost unnecessary.
